Lorrie Padron
Hi I'm Lorrie Padron, I've been beading for over 12 years. I started out just stringing and soon found out that there was so much more..... I began doing basic Peyote Stitch & I was hooked!! As I began crafting, designing & actually selling my own jewelry to the public I realized that there were some color combinations, pattern & shapes of beads that were not available to me. Thus began my love affair with Lampworking. I have been taught by some of the greatest Lampwork Artists ( Loren Stamp, Kristen France-Orr, Anne Ricketts and others professionals in the field) I've taken what I have learned from them, incorporated seed beads, bead embroidery and a basic peyote stitch to create my own styles. I have taught classes at Wild Beads in Arlington, been published by Blue Moon Glassworks in Austin as an up & coming Lampwork Artist and collaborated on many pieces with other artists. I began my beading Journey after a trip to see my brother in Arizona, where his wife was making simple strung beads. I continued to bead because it was healthier than prozac, cheaper than therapy and my family is still alive!! I'm still beading because it's my passion, a challenge and absolute love.

Art….Love, love , love it… I have always been sort of a “crafty” person doing needlework..quilting, crocheting..etc….but the 1st time I picked up a paint brush…I was a gonner.. Fabric is where I began, progressing to porcelain. I have taken many workshops from very talented teachers. Along the way I tried stained glass, fused glass and silversmithing. In about 2007 I found PMC. PRECIOUS METAL CLAY is an awesome product. You can express yourself so many ways in clay. Your ideas come to life… The very best part, you have a one of a kind, unique piece of jewelry or sculpture… and it is REAL… Silver.999, Bronze or Copper that YOU CREATED. PMC is quite addicting but sooooo much fun…..
